Your presence at this year’s Gala truly means a great deal to me.

This evening marks not only the beginning of a new presidency, but also the continuation of KAIFA’s remarkable 31 year journey. Our organization stands on the dedication and commitment of past presidents, board members, mentors and members whose time, energy and passion have built the strong foundation we are privileged to carry forward today.

 

On a personal note, this moment holds special meaning for me. My father, Moses Kim, served as KAIFA’s 2nd president in 1997, and my mother, Agatha Kim, was the 10th president and the first woman to lead this organization. As the 15th president and the first of the second generation to serve in this role, I am both honored and deeply mindful of the responsibility to continue this legacy.

 

While we celebrate our history, we must also look ahead. The insurance and financial industry continues to evolve through advancements in technology, changing client expectations and the rise of a new generation of professionals. My vision is to help guide KAIFA into this modern era while preserving the core values that define us: mentorship, education, collaboration and meaningful engagement within our community and the broader industry.

 

KAIFA’s greatest strength has always been its people. It is the relationships we build, the trust we foster and the support we offer one another that sets us apart. In an industry that can often feel transactional, KAIFA remains a community grounded in genuine connection and shared purpose.

As I step into this role, I do so with humility and a commitment to serve our members and strengthen the future of this organization. I am grateful to my family for their unwavering support, to my colleagues for their trust and to all of you for being part of this journey.

 

Together, I look forward to building, leading and shaping the next chapter of KAIFA’s story.
